Dear Mr. Goldman,
It was over a year ago that we closed on the sale of my apartment and I feel terrible that I never sent you a thank you letter, so here it is. (As they say, better late than never!). I am not sure that you are aware of the aggravation my wife and I went through to sell our apartment before we asked you to sell it. So, here is a brief story of why we asked you to sell our apartment and how thankful we are for all that you helped us with.
We first met with you to sell our apartment in September 2000. You came in, assessed the apartment and discussed with us our options, price and what you could do for us. You broke it down in such a way that I thought it would be easy for me to sell the apartment myself. So, I decided not to use a broker, save the sales commissions and put ads in many, many newspapers. We received numerous calls, mostly from brokers promising us the world if we signed with them. This went on for quite a few months. And what happened was we wasted lots of money and time on newspaper ads and was still unable to sell our apartment!
After much frustration at trying to sell the apartment myself, I met with you again in the summer of 2001. I really needed your help to market and sell the apartment because we were in contract on a house in the suburbs. The brokers (employed by you) that my wife and I dealt with were always courteous and punctual and professional. Your brokers were constantly showing the apartment and they took care of everything (questions, layout, building information, etc.). Further, I was very concerned that the apartment would never sell after September 11 or would sell for a major decrease in price. But, within a very short time you found a buyer for the price that we wanted.
I recommend anyone needing real estate services to use your company. And if you ever need a reference as to how good your services are, please feel free to have the prospective client to contact us!
Thank you for all that you did for us!
